The London Palladium, West End London

This is one of my dreams come true, catching a musical at West End. Although not a classic one as i had hoped for but it's good enough. Next: Broadway!

Marie, sean, me and alicia :)

Purchasing the tickets at Piccadilly. Phone booths!

I HAD to buy the programme.

I look forward to catching les mis one day so that i could sing along to the hopeless tunes of Eponine! But not with my colleagues cos they'd think i'm a nerd.

Jacob doll pees

I also watched Twilight Eclipse when i was in Johannesburg. Aside from being most cheesy i also noticed one thing: their army of new vampires is multi-racial hahahhaha like Barney or Banana in Pajamas (if you noticed there is a white, a brown and a yellow bear).

Good show!

Waka waka

I am in Johannesburg, South Africa now! Home of FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 woohoo!!!! Don't ask me whether i went to watch a live match because i didn't :( Last minute tickets couldn't be confirmed and apparently we had to buy them at the stadium itself but still that's not a guarantee. What killed us was the tickets were selling for 2400ZAR = around 500SGD -_- So much for seeing Casillas live.

So we ended up in front of a loserly big screen watching the quarter-finals Paraguary-Spain but it was huuuuuge and 3D! So not too bad i guess. We were comforted by telling ourselves we are at least in the city soaking in the atmosphere haha!

My friends wanted to buy vuvuzelas hahhaa for what!!!!

Maruyama Park, Kyoto, Japan

Some night shots. My camera takes lousy night shots so i only edited some of the better ones.

Kodai-ji at night.

We had a bit of fun spinning those cylinders. I dunno watsit called sorry heh.

Lovely path at night that leads out of the temple. We actually ventured out to find maruyama park but got quite lost after a while, and started to explore random temple grounds.

Another random beautiful European-styled hotel. Reminds me of Christmas :)

Sakura tree light-up.

The highlight of our night adventure: the famous large sakura tree at Maruyama park.

Managed to catch a glimpse of Geishas finally!
Our beautiful room in Kyoto; the best one of our entire trip. A bit wasted though cos we did not spend much time in the room. Plus it was pretty big, could have contained 2 more people. But nevermind, a nice night of pampering after an exhausting day out.

Super happy with our room! :))))

Inclusive of Japanese crepes with red bean fillings yummy! But we already had our fill of it at a tidbit shop sampling what must have been a dozen of their different flavoured fillings.

i just don't wanna be screwed up

I was sick recently, and i behaved like a loser. Seriously majorly. I whined and cried and felt sorry for myself and basically unwilling to do anything productive but stone. Plus i craved for attention which my mum is no longer able to provide me with 4 grandsons driving her mad and i was looking so hard for another figure who can be my source of assurance and comfort.

I whined and begged for one and i got it but i don't feel good about it at all. I think neither did he but he tried.

Suddenly i feel like i am pushing the limits and boundaries of the relationship. It may be due to the lease that we're going to sign and i'm trying to make my final decision seem more convinced, or the contrary.

Poor dondon. 原谅我是这样的女生.

我拍青蜂侠不需要替身!

The first minute of the trailer made me think it was a spoof/comedy like 'Superhero Movie'. I'm not familiar with Seth Rogen but don't you think he looks like one of those pudgy funnyman (think jack black) who'd star in a lame comedy as a loser rather than a superhero in an actual action flick? I think 1 reason why jay chou took the part was cos bruce lee was in an earlier version. The lines were so lame in an unfunny way and his perpetual zilch face expression does not make them any funnier. In fact i actually cringed. Poor jay chou.

I hope the actual movie would be better than the trailer or jay chou should just be known as a musician.

Kiyomizu Temple, Kyoto, Japan

Yahoooo! I have got some time which i feel a bit hardworking so i edited more photo :)

Rainy day in Kyoto. But at least we managed to borrow a nice normal looking brolly instead of those auntie flowery ones heh.

 Entrance to Kiyomizu Temple.

The view is breath-taking. I would love to be here in autumn when the leaves turn red.

Most of the little shrines look similar to me, but apparently they have different 'functions'. Some are to bless your love life, some for your family etc. Just plop some coins in and ring the bell! Something gets blessed somehow.

Haha! Stones dressed in red aprons :)

Apparently the whole of the main structure is built on wooden stilts. HMM! It IS an extremely large structure.

Cozy looking shop front.

Narrow streets filled with rows of shops. Touristy shops no doubt.

Dinner for the day was a super healthy tofu meal. ALMOST vegetarian except for the one piece of prawn.  It was a bland, expensive novel idea.

Doesn't it look like tofu steamboat? But this is how you eat it. Wait for the top layer to cool down and harden...

Then you lift it up! -_- It is unbelievably soft and silky, but also tasteless. You can dip it into their soya sauce but again defeats the 'heath meal' purpose. I guess we had a little thrill from producing sheets of tofu.

Sometimes i hate looking into the future. Because i know what i am heading towards is clearly not what i wanted for myself. Except for my house. I've always wanted to have my own place. To paint it furnish it decorate it, a place where i can truly call my own. But as down payment looms near i fear greater for the baggage it will bring along; what 'buying a house together' really means. I wonder if it is normal to fear. To doubt. I desire for a different kind of life but i have no courage for actions, for words. I know i might come to regret my lack of initiatives in 10years time. Where is good advice when you need it.

I know my blog has kinda ceased to be a colourful travelogue and in its place is a space filled with emo crap but i have been busy playing The Sims 3 pardon me for the laziness. Zzzzz if you'll excuse me i'm gonna sleep now.

Sometimes I think I'm the biggest coward ever. I don't have the courage to change things for myself. I used to believe in 'god's plans' but I came to realize whatever that seemed to be laid out smoothly in front of me is often the worst plan. I fought hard for the best things that has happened to me so far. Unfortunately the motivation to fight has never been my strong trait.

i am a hong kong foodie

Hellooo i haven't been updating my blog for a while. That's cos i've been TOO BUSY HAVING FUN IN HONG KONG AND SAN FRANCISCO WOOHOOOOO it's been such a fulfilling trip that it almost felt like i was on holiday. Even stress DURING work was minimal. I had the best chief and nicest set of crew who got along with each other really well =D That's something that i can only wish for and not expect.

As i said i had one of the best trips ever. Managed to get cute lingerie from Victoria's Secret, a Kate Spade cosmetic pouch, my favourite egg tarts from 泰昌饼家 that katherine told me about, and best of all my favouritest combo of 烧鹅饭+许刘山's never-ending supply of mangoes and glutinous rice balls. I even chanced upon Jay Chou's new album on it's first day of release and split the cost with my friend who only wanted to rip the music. Life can't get any better than this.

But wait! It does! Cos today i officially booked my flat at Queenstown. 34th floor SkyTerrace facing the sea (ok just a bit) with full length windows (my dream!!) and dilys and ah tiao as my neighbours yay! I'm sure i'll start to find more familiar faces as my neighbours cos it seemed like many people i know applied for this estate.

I know i'm like so haolian now bragging and bragging but this is one of the few moments that i actually feel happy and contented about my life so just LET ME BRAG.

looking at a life that was never what i wanted

You know how when you were young you've always envisioned how your life would be? Some girls wanted to have a dozen kids. Some see themselves as one of those strong careered woman CEO type. Some just know they want a husband who resembles Brad Pitt. I do too, know how i want to lead my life and how it should be. But the future staring at me in the face now is hardly similar. I might be well-to-do, staying in a nicely furnished flat in a centrally located plot of land. People would admire how delightful my apartment is, and marvel at how well we plan our 'investments'. I would however probably be alone most of the time, childless, wondering where the last 10years have gone, or worse regretting conceding to spending these 10years the way i never wished to.

I dunno if i will be happy.

had a relatively good day

It's a good day today cos my regular transport auntie gave me 2 facial masks from her Korea trip. Heeheehee.
And i'm meeting 2 of my best friends for dinner tomorrow :) Also looking forward to the long string of off days i managed to get by giving away work to others, cutting my allowances $$$$$ at the same time but i don't care NO WORK = HAPPINESS.  My bond is officially up i can quit my job now!!! But i'll stay for now cos i still need the money $$$. Plus i can give away work anytime if i need rest > $$$

God when will i strike lottery.

Tivoli in Copenhagen, Denmark

I recently cut my hair haha... i got my fringe snipped shorter and most of my lousy split ends are gone. I know it doesn't look much different but it definitely feels neater.
We are going to the Tivoli gardens today!

What a cheesy pose i know gahhh but i really wanted to show the pathway from the entrance cos i find the hanging flowers and lamp posts so pretty!

Purple daisies!

By the lake.

Old style ferris wheel.

 Getty beside the hotel.

Ok one more thing i can strike off my list. Honestly i did not take any rides at all cos 1) i'm not a fan 2) they are bloody expensive 3) nothing spectacular about the rides. There were very limited rides available and it felt like there were more restaurants then rides. In fact it is extremely small for an amusement park; more like a funfair if you ask me. But i could imagine how romantic it would be at night where the rides would light up but unfortunately we were too bored to stay till dark (which only falls at around 9pm).
